Description

This learning module describes popular dimming strategies and how different light sources behave when dimmed.

Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Advise clients about the difference between switching, step dimming, and continuous dimming, and how LED drivers affect dimming quality and compatibility.
  2. Recognize and address common dimming problems.
  3. Utilize dimming in manual control, daylight-responsive control, lumen maintenance, institutional tuning, and demand response control strategies.
  4. Identify documentation and commissioning steps needed for successful dimming systems.
