Description
This learning module describes common panel-based lighting control systems.
Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify common load control devices, including relays, contactors, controllable breakers, dimming modules, DMX512 controllers, and DALI-2 controllers.
- Design lighting control systems with an understanding of the use of controller programming, controlled outputs, and load control hardware to produce intended lighting behavior.
- Evaluate where load control equipment can be located in a lighting control system, including central control enclosures, distributed devices, room-level controllers, drivers, decoders, and luminaires.
- Describe key documentation, scheduling, override, emergency, integration, cybersecurity, and functional testing considerations for load control hardware.
