Description
Do you know the requirements for transporting hazardous materials via highway in the United States? Take this course to learn about the general requirements including loading and unloading, segregation, and special situations. This course is ideal for people who offer hazardous materials to be shipped by highway and for over-the-road carriers. You may take this course alone, but remember to take the entire suite, in order, every 3 years to fulfill the requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation, or DOT.
Objectives
- Identify the general Highway Carrier Requirements.
- Select the appropriate methods of loading, unloading and transporting hazardous materials.
- Determine segregation requirements for hazardous materials.
- Recognize how to respond to special situations involving HAZMAT, including emergencies, HAZWOPER, passenger-carrying vehicles and incidents, as well as how to report them.
